I have done a lot of work, mostly bad. My brain has become addled by

1. overeating, gorging.

2. the hot wet climate.

3. trying to take in too many things and getting exhausted.

4. getting accustomed to not listening to bores, and being unable to attend when some interesting person talks.

4a. not quite hearing or understanding all that is told one (native English).

5. hearing too much about places, things and people that one has not heard about previously.
